Chair of two branches of the shared parenting charity Families Need Fathers since 2011. The branches in question are Central and North London Fnf. Also have experience of five successful Ombudsman Investigations including three Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. Have also contributed to and briefly addressed the Petitions Commission of the European Parliament on its motion ‘Systemic Failings in UK Family Courts.’ I believe these systemic failings are manifest in so much of the affected fathers well being and mental health issues. I also do some part time McKenzie work in the Family Courts helping fathers (usually) who because of revisions in Legal Aid provision have no assistance when in the family court. The mother usually obtains legal aid via claiming domestic abuse which is pivotal in obtaining legal advantage and outcome. I see 900-1,000 attendees per year, many repeat so effectively 300 newcomers pa. Usually working class men who have no or very limited funds and possibly only short term accommodation. Ordinary men in extraordinary circumstances.
The Fnf meetings I chair are every Monday between 8-11 pm. Once a month Cen Lon is between 6-11 pm. Personally i’m unusally flexible with time and apart from Monday evenings can make myself available at short notice generally.
