Men’s mental health: improving our understanding

November 21, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

A talk by Martin Seager, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Change Grow Live, London, and Dr John Barry, Honorary Lecturer in Psychology, UCL, followed by questions from the audience.

Despite the fact that men clearly experience mental health issues, men are less likely to seek professional help, even when suicidal. Psychologists John Barry and Martin Seager discuss the gaps in our understanding of men’s mental health, and suggest ways in which this can be improved.

This talk is part of the series of talks on Masculinities and Health organised in conjunction with UCL’s Centre for Global Health and Global Action on Men’s Health.
