After a meeting last week, the BPS confirmed yesterday that the Male Psychology Section ballot would have to be postponed. This last minute decision came because the BPS normally run two or more ballots at once in order to keep postage costs down, and realized that the other ballot (for the Political Psychology Section) would not have sufficient votes in time. This is very disappointing for everyone, but we trust this problem will be resolved in the next few months (and obviously we wish the Political Psychology Section a speedy conclusion to their campaign!). Martin Seager and John Barry will be meeting with the BPS in early April to discuss the new date for the ballot and other issues related to the Male Psychology Section. We expect that positive developments will be happening in the near future – we will keep you posted.
